Prevent a user's password from being changed based on WordPress user roles or usernames.
WordPress allows users to change their passwords by default on the login form and user profile pages. This plugin lets you enforce passwords and gives you total control over what specific users and/or user roles can change their passwords. Simply select which user roles and/or users you want to prevent from resetting their passwords and the protection will apply globally. You can also add exceptions for specific users in combination with protected user roles. Protect passwords is compatible with single WordPress installations or multisite networks.
Benefits of preventing user password changes
Keep your Wordpress install safe in case your e-mail address is compromised, since the attacker can not reset your admin password. Preventing user password changes enables you to:
- Assign strong user passwords
- Keep records of user passwords
- Increase password security
