HTTP Post

Detect HTTP Post flood attacks against WordPress.

Your web server responds to two types of requests: HTTP GET and HTTP POST. The former is just a request for a page, so any caching plugins will easily handle them. The latter is a request that requires processing, and processing cannot be cached. Some of these requests are consistent with a normal visit to your site, but if too many POST requests are received your site can slow down.

Secure your HTTP Post requests

This plugin provides extra means of detecting Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks by making WordPress POST requests visible to the Activity Monitor, upon which they can be used by IP Too Often to detect attacks.

Used in conjunction with IP Too Often, the Activity Monitor can detect such an attack and send the offending IP to a blocking plugin.
